Jims league, 10 teams, no keepers

Valhalla – Sweet pick getting Zam in the 4th rd. Guess you were drinking during your draft as it shows in the 13th rd and after. Francoeur before Schilling, Bedard, Zito u could have solidified your staff. They should lock you up in the prison there with that OF. James may save your staff and get you Laid. Offense: B+ Pitching B-

Baltimore – Love the staff but you actually have too much and must trade for hitting. Weeks was a waste pick as u already had your SS, 2B, and MI. You drafted without filling your needs. Hope your girl doesn’t treat you the same way. You’ll be trading for power. Offense: C Pitching: A

Innocent – Hate Jeter in 3rd when u already had Reyes. Does Bay, Ichiro, Jones, Wells not interest you? Your guilty of #1 Fantasy rule breaker, picking with your heart as you are obviously a Yankee fan. Then Uggla in 8th rd before Thome, who looks better at your UT? Clemens in 14th & Prior in the 18th rd, r u a miracle worker Offense: C Pitching F you cant even fill a staff.

Hotdogs n Beer – Finally someone in this league that knows baseball. Chavez is a reach in 10th rd as 3rd is deep and he sucks. Definitely finishing in top 3. Guess food was on your mind when u picked Hawpe instead of Beckett to help your staff. Offense B+ Picthing A-

PainttheBlack – 1st 7 picks can hit and they will need to as rest of the sucks. Crisp before C Young? Yeah you were toasted picking that one. Your team sank faster then a fat kid in a pool. You’re the fantasy guy that only know big names and then reads the magazine for the rest of the draft for help, too bad it did not work. Offense B Pitching C-

Powermongers – Well name is correct, u do have power. MI needs help, you will pick someone up before the season even starts. Nice SP’s and RP’s but rest of staff is iffy. You need some Viagra to get those last P’s up. Great last pick if he stays away from the high schools. Offense: B+ Pitching B-

Carlsbad – Zimmerman was drafted too early, u had a 3B already n it’s a deep position. Dunn or Matsui would have given you more. Stephen Drew in the 14th rd, not a keeper league so way too early. Your bad for picking Kinsler before Hamels. He will be an Ace. Corey Hart may be the steal of the draft. Offense: B Pitching: B

DMGers – Tiexera pick was early with 1B so deep. OF stud would have been better, like Berkman or Holliday. Lugo was a loser pick and Swisher was an airball. Nice late rd picks with Santana, Vasquez, and Glavine. Staff may be old but produced late year. If they repeat you’ll have a chance, there’s also chance of all their arms falling off. Offensive: B- Pitching: B+ 1st half, C in 2nd half when they wear down

TBD – Anyone want to tryout for INF cause this team need some players. Most leagues Figgins only qualifies at 3B/OF. Sanchez was a fluke and will come down to .290, Freel will be on and off the DL more then a fat chick riding a mechanical bull. O dog is great for web gems, not hitting Offensive: B Pitching: B-

Hotrains – My favorite to win the league. I-rod was chosen early as D Young, Thome, Giambi would have been much better. Got lucky with Papelbon being a closer now. Bonds could be a steal if MLB keeps turning its head. Offensive: B+ Pitching A-

Tips for next time: Guys there are 32 teams, you only need 1 starting C. wait and get one later as after the big 3 it really doesn’t matter. 1B and 3B are deep, get studs OF or Aces 1st. Fill your needs as many of you will have high draft picks on your bench.

Prediction: Hotrains, Paint the Black, Valhalla will be the top 3. Hitting always beats pitching in fantasy

Bryan's Draft

Dundler Miffen – I hate picking closers before starters. Wand and Maddux were nice late picks but you get no k’s those guys. Too bad as many times as Dunn strikeouts they don’t for ya, should have picked Delagado before him. Average is much better. Taveras before Roberts will bite you in the ass since Roberts is proven and Taveras is shaky and Rockies have Sullivan as well. Vasquez would have helped your K’s and it went real late, instead you pick Reyes. Buy booze for everyone and it will make it all ok. B+

Kid Carters – Mauer that early, come on he is a catcher with average power. I hope Glaus counts at SS for you cause Atkins is your starting 3B and I didn’t see u draft one, maybe I misread. You must have lost it when u picked Pierre before Damon, Konerko or an Ace. Kent before the batting champ? Yeah that usually leads you to last place. Clemens who may not pitch and if he does, not til august before Beckett and Sanchez. You drafted like a kid, definitely finishing in the bottom 3. C-

Stewies – 3rd base is deep, maybe u should have taken V-mart or a good closer. You are rolling the K-Dice taking him before Verlander and Zito. Mr. Slow starter Chavez before Maggs or an Ace was unappealing to look at since u already took Zimm. You have many injured guys in Rivera, Pedro, and Pods. You will be on the waiver wire a lot. C+

Orioles 07 – Your fantasy team will be as good as your team name and that is not good. Tiexera that early before a great SS is nuts considering 1B is plentiful. Willis before myers, hamels, and zito shows why u have a weak staff. M Gonzalez who is not even a closer before schilling shows u shit you. Nice steal with Roberts that late. Good thing u have keepers for next year cause u are looking at it already with no chance this year C-

Bad Boys – Figgins may not lead off anymore so should have gotten an Ace. Good late picks with sanchez and garza. Pitching will be decent but hitting will be bad.

Tennessee – McCann may have gone rd early. Haren is an ok pitcher but should not be your ace cause he is not even the A’s ace. Your OF has less power than California in the summer time. C+

Tokyo – Nice pick with Guillen if he stays healthy again. Hate the Thome pick cause he has no versatility he may have been there an rd later. Could have had Webb who is an Ace. C+

Hit em - Your team should hit the weight room with Sabathia and Colon on your staff. You will be trying to catch up all year. C

Great Odins – Your season may rest on a Sheet, how lucky do you feel? Your closers and 2B need some work. Better hope A-Rod can take the pressure in NY or your team will be whining like he does. C

Juggs – Ortiz before Reyes? Haven’t seen that on any draft board yet. Reyes and Bay look better than Ortiz and Furcal. You def must be a Red Sux fan as u picked Youks over Nomar or Overbay. Guess you like finishing 2nd as much as they do. C+
Yam Bags – Reyes and Jeter, should have went with Holliday or Manny. You have no power but good average. Sweet keepers in Liriano and Bailey. May need them if u cant find power along the season C-

Pine Tar – Think you had the best draft but Olsen before Wang was a bad choice. Top 3 finisher B+

FantasyBaseballExpress.com Writers Draft

Hey guys, great drafting with. Some of your guys picks were classic and I see why I am TheGreatPierre and will win this league. Here is my analysis

Greener side – I am ok with Reyes 1st, Sheets in 4th round is crazy. Career high is 12 wins and that team is no better. D. Young was picked like your ejaculation, pre-mature as he could have went 2 rds later unlike you 2-pump chump. Your team looks good for a keeper league but its now which obviously you wont be doing. Your best pick: Shave Victorino in 20th rd

FantasyDiary – Garland before those other pitchers in the 7 round shows u are living a fantasy. OF swings and misses more than u get dissed on dates. Not surprising you don’t have a closer since you never sealed the deal with a woman yourself. Best pick: Pujols cause u got lucky. Prediction: Bottom of the league with no saves and no power

Fantasy Baseball Island– Lee was was early as 1b is deep and he is coming off an injury. Plus when your #1 and #3 picks are on the cubs, the goat is there for a reason and one will screw ya. Then picking Abreu when u knew he got hurt, never want an injured guy going into the season. Looking at your team, I hope you’re a doctor cause many of your guys will be on the DL through out the year. You’ll be the waiver wire king. Best Pick: Anibal Sanchez First guy to be on the DL: Randy Johnson

Dose of Fantasy – Closers that early shows why your hitting is lacking. Your batting average will finish lower than your weight. Pitching wins world series, hitting wins fantasy baseball. No speed at all. You def. are a true fat boy or love them. Cecil Fielder must have been your idol. Best Pick: Kerry Wood, sleeper if healthy. You’ll win saves, wooped di doo.

Faketeams – Not liking the Jeter before Tejada pick, homers in middle are tough to get. Baldelli in 5th rd? so many better OF’s to choose from. You must like the name Rocco and saying it. Good staff. Choosing a Tampa reliever will hurt your ERA as they get overused, sort of like your hand on Friday nights. Best Pick: Joel Pinerio. Good mix of power and decent staff so should be in top half.

Somewhere Betweeners – OF’s are journey men. Nothing special out there. Pitching will have good whip and do ok in saves. V-mart not even the best catcher yet taken 1st. I see this team ending up somewhere in the middle of the standings

DL Informer – Blalock before many other good 3bs was a bad choice. Maybe you should be informed he sucked last year. One guy wont get ya much in sbs. Good average but guys don’t score much, sound like you and your friends. Young unproven MI is risky. Should have picked up back ups. Best Pick: Jose Contreras. If rookies slump early, trades will be a flyin.

Rumble Pit – Filled OF and UT early then picked Pierre, Can’t play that many guys even though he is a little guy. All those pitchers still wont win as many as most staffs since you have no Ace. Dropped a 15th rd pick already? Absolutely no backup or versatility means you be picking FA’s a lot. Worst Pick: Clemens, we all snickered when u chose him especially that early. Team will finish in the bottom of the pit.

Team Fantasy Man – All hitting and no pitching make Kuch be so-so. Picked great hitters early on but should have picked an Ace instead of Rios. Possibly best infield but will Figgins steal as much not leading off? Will be in top half cause of hitting but wont get many points in pitching categories. Best Pick: Matt Garza. Will be sad that the leader of FBE wont even be in the lead all season.

Discoball – Sabathia being picked before other Aces odd. One good season does not make him an Ace. Your team ERA will be double your college GPA. Patterson before other OF’s was an ugly looking pick. Best Pick: Jonny Gomes if healthy. I can see this team dancing on the upper part of the standings.

MLB Front Office – I like Lee a lot but crappy 2nd half , not a 1st rd. Nobody must showed up to the meeting at the office. Brought back together the old Atlanta infield. Doesn’t mean crap but fun to see. Good K’s in pitching staff. 5 closers, all having a very good possibility they wont be closing by seasons end. When they fall, so does this team. Best Pick: Felipe Lopez

Fantasy Ozone – Doing so well until 5th Rd. Kenji doesn’t even go that high in the Japan Fantasy League Draft. No help from the bench. Picked an injured Johnson, hope that’s the only one that doesn’t work. Solid closers so bullpen is set. Best Pick: Mike Lowell Not gonna look good when your 21st rd catcher does better than your 5th rd one.

John Watts League

Hey John, you had a good draft but there were some picks I did not like. Obviously having #1 Pujols was a great pick so now u have your power and 1B. I might have went different with your 2nd pick, Berkman is great but no steals. Guess you’re a fatty that does not care about steals cause you don’t have many on your team and probably didn’t get many through out your little league career. Ichiro might have been nice here or Tejada since he gives u great #’s for a SS. Cant believe your league let u get Oswalt and Peavy in the 4th and 5th. Relievers are more dime a dozen and u can get decent ones late. 6th rd pick was good cause u filled a position u needed but then went with a 1B which u didn’t need. Cano on your team is much more valuable or an Ace like Zito, Schmidt, or Hoffman. Rolen scares me cause he is injured prone, why not pick Hall or wait til later for a decent 3B and go with Aces. Cordero before such SP’s as Verlander, Hamels, Smoltz, and Harang is tough. Closers come and go like your fat girlfriends. You picked 2 early but you can never have too many, great trade bait and injuries happen especially with the 2 you got. Overall I think you did a good job. You are dreaming at Catcher though, and your relievers are iffy.

As for you league, Things picking Mauer in 2nd Rd that early is gross. His 1st 6 rd picks, I have seen more power on a women’s softball team. Speed kills in football, not fantasy baseball. Dread head, Mr. DL, and the Bad Unit are his aces. I guess Things owner must have been a reliever in HS and sat the bench, cause he is pretending these guys are on his team so he can chat with them since they wont be pitching much.

Jerry Town is def. One of Jerry’s Kids as he picked Cabrera over Wright and the Phenom before Zito. Not sure what was higher, Felix’s weight or ABA. His ERA was a richter scale measurement when he pitched.

Big Knockers picking Lugo before Young shows he was off his rocker. He may use him at 2B but Cano is much better. Tex instead of Morneau is risky. 1B are deep so Vlad or Ichiro would have been nicer.

Atlanta Sluggers picking Closers before Starters was odd. Verlander gives him a legit pitcher. Guess u did go with slugging and decided to forfeit pitching. Good strategy, lets see if it works out for you.

Kaxlan3 would have been scary team to beat if he wasn’t such a scared pussy like the French and his pick of Francoeur in the 11th Rd. Santana, Zito, and Verlander or Smoltz would have been a sweet staff. Then u choose 2 pitchers with at best debut in August(Pedro, Clemens), guess u are looking to make a late run.

Guys enjoy your season and would love to get an email at all star break to see if my predictions are correct.

Copperheads, RSL Baseball, Stewart Photo are my Favorites to win it

AJ's Draft, 30 man roster, 10 teams, 11X1, keepers

Bob – 1st pick is tough because u wait so long til your next one but you did get an Ace which was good. Best pick was Lopez in 22nd Rd, You must have had a brain fart in Rds 10 & 11 with Rios before Swisher or Magglio and JJ Putz before Hoffman or Smoltz. They are old but had great numbers and did not show signs of slowing down. Johnson is out for 1st month so your hitting will be hurting. Power B+ If Huff is back to old self, could be higher Speed C Rios needs to run which the BlueJays never do.Starters B+ Rogers that late, def not a gamble Closers C+ Rivera is good for a stint on the DL. Overall Grade B Bench is hurting with Johnson starting on DL and platoon Ofs.

Conlan – You pick SPs for their stats, not their looks you fruitcake. Sheets is injured prone and not on a winning team. So many other SP’s would have been better: Zito, Wang, or Lackey. Great pick with Figgins that late, not sure why he lasted that long. You got good speed but may be missing power. 3 Mets and Larry, that must have hurt picking him. Power B- Need Tex and Cantu to bounce back. Speed B 2 guys can only carry your team so far. Starters C+ Era will be high, 2 starters will be on DL at least once Closers B You have 2 good ones. Overall Grade B- Probably the most white boys ever on a fantasy team, very anti-Omar Minaya.

Storiale – You struck out big time with K-Rod in the 4th rd. Possibly the worst pick in the draft. You got Pinerio in 24th rd and numbers will be similar. Could have had strikeout leaders from both leagues, doh. Need Lee and Hunter come back strong, very strong middle infielders and middle relief with is usually worthless. Power B- Many guys that can hit 30+ is always nice. Speed D Part time Freel and Jeter will have u at the bottom. Starters B Santana will keep any staff low in era and whip. Arroyo faded in 2nd half, better hop Clemens is there to save your staff. Closers B Better hope u win this category when choosing a closer over Peavy and Lee. Overall Grade C+ Young and Barfield go better than 20/20 as projected, team could make a run.

Tidgwell – Great draft up until u got dizzy and picked Izzy 12th. Keep drinking the pepsi and lay off the zima. Burell was a reach, Swisher or Lugo would have been a safer pick. Nice staff with low era and high k’s, stock up on Rolaids with that run of yankee pitchers as many fans witnessed last year. Power A- Every position can hit 20+ with Howard vying for 60. Speed C Ichiro, Damon and ???? Starters B+ This staff will be up there in most pitching categories. Closers D Except this one, Izzy is iffy, Jones will be passed by Zumaya, and Wickman is in dreaded Braves bullpen. Overall Grade B Hitting over powers pitching in fantasy. You’ll be on waiver wire looking for closers.

Murphy – A-Rod over Hafner, stop watching YES classic reruns, A-Rod had 10 RBI’s only once. Consistent at every position but guess u tanked closers. Ryan is nice but others are in-waiting and by then u may be out of it. Liriano is a sweet keeper. Power B- Many players with 20+ but only true power hitters are Konerko and Hafner. Oh wait u picked A-Rod instead. At least you will get to read a lot about him in the paper, let me know what type of toilet paper he uses. Speed B- Crawford is great to have and maybe Patterson’s year wasn’t a fluke. Starters C+ Roy Boy n Dough Boy leading the staff. Closers C Keep your fingers crossed Jones and Gagne get hurt or falter early. Overall Grade B- Hughes and Escobar will help the staff, nice bench if guys get injured.

Chapin - Schmidt was a steal in the 9th rd. Hope you’re a good chiropractor: Vlad,Thome, Big Unit all may need your help. Nice base stealers but that’s all they will give ya. Power B Just an injury away from being screwed and that could happen with a sneeze. Speed A- Pierre and Roberts are a great speed combo, Baldelli, Upton, and Young could contribute. Starters B Workhorses can usually keep your staff up their in categories. Contract year for Zambrano could spell CYClosers C- Street needs to be him old-young self. Hells Bells is a great tune and great to have on your team Overall Grade B Well balanced team that if healthy will be vying for a title

Carpino – Solid infield with 2 big bobbers in the OF. Pitching has question marks and could be studs or duds. Seeing Boston’s luck in the past, don’t expect much from Mastuzaka or a rebound from Beckett. Guess you’ve become a red sox fan, just don’t talk like one or you’ll get beat up like u did in 3rd grade. Like the Hamels pick, great upside. Power B- Which Manny will show up, Jones in contract year should make him move his fat ass. Speed C+ MI will get you the sb’s but OF wont contribute much. Starters C Potential is there but so many ifs. If u picked Verlander, Schmidt or Harang instead of the Phenom, u would be a better drafter. Closers B+ Closers on cruddy teams means saves. Overall Grade C+ Hitting looks nice but you may get ill watching your pitchers and suzaka all over yourself.

Proch – Proch could have had Pronk, teamed with Ortiz, yikes instead goes with Sizemore who can do it all. Nice 2B/SS combo. Sun was shining on your ass when u picked Papelbon and Zito was still available next round. Then u crap yourself and pick Chavez instead of Figgins. Picking Bonds must have blew ur head up as Hamels would have been a better pick then Sanchez. Carpino must have sighed hard when u dirty sanchezed yourself. You may want to take Pepto-bismo as you have diahrear of the mouth when it comes to picking at times. Are u missing hitters? Power D+ Big Pappi can only do so much with a little Proch. Speed B- 2 speedsters and then whoever to be added Starters C Hope you know first aid, your guys have seen the DL more then you’ve seen T&A. Closers C- If last year was a nightmare and they wake up, could be nice picks but it was real ugly last year so doubtful Overall Grade C- Tough when u are missing so many pieces and the one u do have tend to break easily.

Ed – Mauer that early is scary, great average but low power and rbi’s. Then Santana going early, he is not even #1 on his own team. Obviously you were named after Mr. Ed cause you’re a horse’s ass with these picks. You could have made it up but go with an alcholic instead of a zen master in Zito. Maybe if the beers cold u will win the gold. Or at least u will have a drinking buddy when u are at the bottom. Myers can beat you silly for me. Kemp that late was a bright side, u must have been bending over when picking that one. Power C If Shelf cream still works, power will increase. Hall was a great pick in 14th rd but don’t expect to match last years numbers Steals D with an injured Pod, Fielder may lead your team in stills. Guess ur steals will be like your sex life, caught at 2nd. Starters B- Nice 2nd tier pitchers but no Ace unless u count Santana, oh that’s the wrong one. Closers D No one has a closer job going into the season. Overall Grade C Pitcher heavy with no aces or closers. My advice, start drinking heavily as it will be along season.

Makris – May have had the best draft. Just better hope Mets or Yanks don’t go in a slump. Many Hr/Sb guys which never hurts when 1 has gone 40/40 and 1st pick could go 30/30. Power B- Griffey that late will be sweet when he comes back to hit 30+. Speed B Could be real sweet if Pie comes into the mix. Starters A- Bonderman, Smoltz, and Berdard that late were great safe picks and Duke may show his 2005 was for real. Closers B- Everyone loves seeing Ozzie do the fat man call to the bullpen and for good reason, he gets the job done. Overall Grade B+ The favorite going into the season, hopefully you manage well and don’t make bonehead trades for Timo may finally get his championship.

To the league: Thanks for letting me rate and rant about your teams, hope you have a fun time reading it and no beef with me. Would love to hear your feedback. Please get back to me during all-star break to see how my predictions came back and I can re-evaluate your teams after trades and FA pick ups. Just out of curiousity, how wasn’t Mulder, Gibbons, Cameron, Giles(Brian or Marcus) were just some of many stars not picked
